Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent

A welcoming and supportive school in Wellingborough is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be caring, proactive, and confident working with children across different age groups.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact in the classroom and gain valuable school-based experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

• Work with small groups or individual pupils to support learning

• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Assist with preparing resources and classroom materials

• Provide support for pupils with additional or special educational needs (where required)

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school or education setting preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A positive, flexible and patient attitude

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

• Availability for an immediate start
