SEN Teaching Assistant

We are anticipating an increased need for 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join schools across Cornwall when education settings fully re-open over the coming months.

From conversations we've had with school leaders, we have found that many settings will need support from experienced SEN/Behaviour Teaching Assistants throughout the Summer term. We are expecting to have a range of roles from part to full-time, EYFS up to Year 6. Many children with SEN/SEMH/Behaviour needs will require 1:1 support, especially while they reintergrate back into a classroom environment. We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You are an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • You are an experienced support worker with experience supporting additional needs or challenging behaviour
  • You have supported children in a care setting

We will carry out the interview and vetting process in the lead up to school reopening so that you are ready to start ASAP. We work with schools across Cornwall so we'd like to hear from suitable candidates across the area and we can then best match you to your most local schools that we work with. We offer competitive rates of pay, a CPD academy and permanent school placements (following a probation period) that will take you to the end of this academic year and potentially into September 2021.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
