The school is well established within the community. The school boasts an outdoor area which includes playground equipment, a trampoline, a swing and a multi use games area, a memorial garden, and an orchard and allotment area at the back of the school, to enhance students’ outdoor education. In addition, the school also includes a sensory room, a small pool used for hydrotherapy and warm water activities, and a performing arts studio, something that the school specialises in. The school has four main aims that it strives towards for its students. They are; Enjoy and achieve through learning, Be healthy, Stay safe and Make a positive contribution to society.
