SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking to recruit Primary SEN Teaching Assistants and behaviour mentors to work in the Penzance – Camborne area. We are looking for individuals to provide support for pupils in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

We can offer flexible working patterns, we just required you to be available a minimum of three days a week. You will ideally have a full, clean drivers’ licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and be confident when going into new classrooms. You will also need to have good communication skills to ensure that you are supporting students to the best possible standard you can. You will ideally have experience with using different teaching methods to help find the best method for every individual student. It is important that you communicate well with the class teacher to discuss the students needs and their daily progress.

You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
