SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start 
Location: LA3 (Lancaster Area)
Pay: £14.25 – £15.00 per hour
Contract: Full-time, PAYE via Teaching Personnel

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in education? Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs at a welcoming and inclusive school in the LA3 area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment from September, working with children who require additional help to reach their full potential.


The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties
  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Assisting with EHCP targets and differentiated learning plans
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
  • Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children (school, care, or support setting)
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Is resilient, adaptable, and committed to supporting SEN pupils
  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) – desirable but not essential
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
