SEN Teaching Assistant
A specialist SEN school in Preston is seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a temp-to-perm basis.
This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes in a nurturing educational environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom management
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Encouraging communication, independence, and social development
- Creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
- Calm, patient, and compassionate approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Relevant qualifications or care/support background welcomed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
