Pay: £92.95–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Burnley area to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.

With a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing and personalised learning, staff work closely together to ensure all pupils feel safe, valued and supported in their education.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and speech, language and communication needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
The school promotes a child-centred approach, focusing on developing confidence, independence and positive relationships alongside academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Assisting the teacher in delivering differentiated lessons
Implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Experience working with children or young people with SEN
A patient, caring and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
