Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Huyton
Do you have experience working with children with autism?
Do you feel comfortable working with children with complex SEN needs?
A mainstream primary school located in Huyton, are potentially looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, to work one to one with a pupil with autism in Year 2. The role would be set to begin in September 2020, and would be full time Monday – Friday. The role is dependant upon funding, which the school should find out about at the start of Septemeber. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with individuals with autism, and be confident working one to one on a long term basis.
The pupil also shows signs of ADHD, so ideally you will be able to keep up with their high energy and attention
The school are looking for someone who can commit to the role, and remain consistent for continuity for the pupil.
The role:
- Start date, September 2020
- Full time fixed term contract
- Huyton area
- GBP300 - GBP350 earnings per week
- Monday – Friday
This school has been graded a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted, and the SENCO is seeking a bubbly, bright and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with individuals with autism
- Experienced working alongside children with lower level learning and special educational needs
- Experience with the primary curriculum
- Hard working and committed to supporting children with a variety of learning needs
- Patient and supportive manner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
