Job description

Support Students to Reach Their Full Potential Through Individualised Learning

Are you passionate about helping children and young people succeed in education? TP Tutors is looking for dedicated SEN Tutors to deliver one-to-one tuition across Margate and surrounding areas, Kent.

In this role, you will work with learners who have autism, ADHD, SEMH, and a range of additional learning needs. By providing personalised support, you will help students rebuild confidence, engage positively with education, and work towards their individual learning objectives.

Location: Margate and surrounding areas, Kent

What can you expect from this opportunity?
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time positions available
Pay: £25 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one sessions in schools, community settings, or learners' homes

What will your responsibilities include?
• Design and deliver personalised tuition sessions based on learner needs
• Use adaptive teaching strategies to support different learning styles
• Encourage learner engagement, independence, and self-confidence
• Monitor and document academic progress and achievements
• Collaborate with parents, carers, schools, and relevant professionals

What experience and skills are we looking for?
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND needs
• Background in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar roles
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and responsibilities
• Ability to travel within Margate and neighbouring areas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
