Autism Base (ASD) Teaching Assistant

Full Time

Starting in September

Autism Support TA,

We are working in collaboration with an ASD Provision in Finchley to fill a Teaching Assistant position working with KS3 and KS4 (ages 11-16) learners. The base is a unique setting, focussing on child-led support and working with students to develop a positive and encouraging learning environment at the pupils’ own pace.

This is a Full-Time Teaching Assistant position in the heart of East Finchley. The school are looking for a dedicated and reliable member of staff to join their team on a long-term basis, with the view to become and permanent member of staff upon completion of a successful trial period.

Role and Responsibilities:

-          Support learners on a 1-2-1 and small group basis within the specialised autism base.

-          Provide emotional, behavioural, and educational support for students within the base.

-          Work alongside the other members of staff to deliver sessions tailored to students’ interests and abilities, including using the purpose-built garden, arts, and communal working spaces.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
