Monday – Friday

8:00am – 4:00pm

Full-time, long-term contract

Are you an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a specialist school environment?

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a specialist school in Darwen, catering to pupils aged 10–16 with a range of complex needs including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviours.

About the Role:

  • Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting in managing behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Working closely with teaching staff and external professionals

  • Encouraging engagement and learning through tailored support

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH, Autism, and ADHD

  • Experience working in a similar SEN or alternative provision setting (desirable)

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in young people’s lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
