We are seeking passionate, caring, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across a range of specialist and mainstream schools in Bristol, Bath, and Weston-super-Mare from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, Psychology Graduates, or individuals looking to build a rewarding career within special education.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties
- Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Encourage pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
- Provide personal care where required (training provided)

- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be proactive and adaptable to different school environments
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
