We are seeking passionate, caring, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across a range of specialist and mainstream schools in Bristol, Bath, and Weston-super-Mare from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, Psychology Graduates, or individuals looking to build a rewarding career within special education.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
  • Encourage pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Provide personal care where required (training provided)

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)
  • Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be proactive and adaptable to different school environments
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
