Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary Schools)
Location: Bournemouth and Surrounding Areas
Daily Rate: £85 – £100
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time / Temporary (Temp-to-Perm Options Available)
Start Date: ASAP / September 2025

Are you a supportive and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible opportunities in primary schools across Bournemouth and nearby areas? We’re recruiting dedicated individuals to work in a variety of school settings, providing essential support to pupils with special educational needs.

Role Overview:
This role involves working closely with primary school children who may have additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You may be providing one-to-one support, working with small groups, or assisting the class teacher in delivering inclusive learning.

Key Duties:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN to access the primary curriculum

  • Helping to implement EHCPs and tailored learning plans

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Assisting with classroom activities and organisation

  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in primary school settings (formal or informal)

  • Patient, calm, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication

  • Confident working independently and as part of a team

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or similar) are a bonus but not essential

  • Willingness to work flexibly across different primary age groups and school settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
