Specialist SEN teaching assistant required - Must have experience supporting students with Autism or trained

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an excellent school based in Southall, the school itself pride themselves on providing their students with the best staff and educational quality. Being based within Southall the school is a diverse learning environment, submerging their pupils in an environment based on equality, social diversity and acceptance.

The role:

This role will require possible candidates to provide one to one support to a reception student with autism.This will include conducting appropriate learning support and accommodating to the complex needs of this pupil. Being able to monitor and evaluate their pupils progression and provide suitable feedback is essential, similarly they must be able to adapt and support their needs throughout.

The ideal candidate:

  • MUST have experience teaching/supporting children with a complex SEN and learning needs - ideally pupils with autism
  • MUST have training in teaching/supporting pupils with autism
  • MUST have a good understanding/knowledge of teaching the English national curriculum in schools

The school:

Based in the heart of Southall this school is looking for a positive and independent teaching assistant to contribute to the learning of their pupils. It is a three form entry school with numerous specialised departments. Attached to the school is a specialised department/base to support speech, language and communication, this ensures that there is outstanding support for each and every pupil - pushing them to progress and achieve to the best of their ability.

The school is easily accessible by numerous train and bus services, it is a 20 minute walk/6 minute bus journey from Southall station and is connected by numerous bus lines, including the 105, 195, 482 and H32.
