SEN Secondary Teacher Required

I am working on the behalf of my client secondary school who require a teacher with SEN experience (ASC) to work 1:1 with a student in year 8 who has been out of education since November 2018.

The school is an inclusive 11-16 comprehensive school serving a large semi-rural area of North East Derbyshire and has 8 villages within their catchment area.

Their mission statement is, 'we strive to be an outstanding learning community in which individuals are inspired, challenged and supported to become effective global citizens in the 21st century'

About the Role

  • Secondary Teacher
  • Planning and teaching core curriculum subjects to Y8 male
  • ASC experience
  • Maintaining awareness of curriculum developments
  • Uphold all safeguarding procedures
  • Opportunity to engage in further support and training

Key Skills

  • Have previous experience working within a SEN environment with ASC and challenging behaviour
  • Up to date knowledge of the secondary national curriculum
  • A passion to engage and motivate pupils in their learning
