Special Education College Tutor Needed in Carshalton
Location: Carshalton, South London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-Time | Ongoing
A supportive and inclusive special education college in Carshalton is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Tutor to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people with additional needs, helping them develop key academic and life skills in a nurturing environment.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, and either PE, Sport Studies, or Science. The role will also involve an element of planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learner needs.
The hour for this role may change in the future but they are currently:
- Wednesday – Full Day
- Thursday – Full Day
- Friday – Afternoons
You will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, promoting confidence, independence, and progression.

What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or in a specialist setting
• Ability to teach across multiple subjects (English, Maths, and PE/Sport/Science)
• A flexible, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A proactive and organised attitude, including lesson planning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
