We have an opportunity to place a SEN Teacher in an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ rated school for pupils aged 11-25 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties for the academic year beginning in September 2020. The ideal SEN Teacher for this role would have:

Experience of working with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties particularly those pupils with Autism/ willingness to train.

A calm and patient manner to support pupils through difficult times.

Someone who is comfortable with outdoor play and support if needed.
This school has excellent facilities to support the development of the children with classes usually having 6 to 10 pupils present. This supplemented with speech and language therapists, nurses and a nationally recognized football club-run workshops. The school’s reputation is well regarded in the local community and the motives of the school are further recognized with its recent OFSTED rating being outstanding in all areas inspected.
Your role as a SEN Teacher would be to create lesson to meet the learners needs. This would include a curriculum based around academic and social progression. You would create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school with a key focus on independent living skills.
The school is situated in the Sale area of Trafford, with public transport links nearby.
To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.
Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
