Teaching Personnel are recruiting a specialist SEN Teacher in partnership with a well-respected specialist SEN School in York. The school caters for children from ages 4 to 18 that suffer with a range of issues including Autism & Asperger’s Syndrome, MD, SLD as well as speech and language as well as physical disabilities.

The college very much believe that people with learning difficulties and disabilities have opportunities and choice and are supported to achieve their aspirations by way of providing person centred services that enable individuals to develop skills and behaviours to live independent lives.

As an SEN Teacher you will have the following role requirements:

• Experience in teaching a range of learning difficulties including Autism to include Asperger’s Syndrome.
• Experience in teaching disabilities including MLD, SLD, Speech & Language & physical disabilities
• Experience in teaching in SEN schools
• Experience in teaching using Makaton and/or PECS
• Any other relevant experience

The role itself offers the following:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
