SEND Teacher – Permanent Role

A prestigious, award-winning group of specialist education settings is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join the permanent staff team at one of their exceptional schools in Norfolk.

The Role
The successful candidate will:

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with diverse learning needs.

• Create and adapt lesson plans to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.

• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures personal growth and independence.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for learners.

• Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings.

Requirements
Applicants must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND, ideally within a specialist setting.

• Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies, differentiation, and assessment methods.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

• A compassionate, resilient, and flexible approach.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable

• Additional qualifications in SEN or therapeutic interventions.

• Experience with a range of needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
