SEN Teaching Assistant – Norwich & Surrounding Areas

Teaching Personnel Norwich SEN Team is seeking caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across specialist and mainstream schools in Norwich and nearby areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally while gaining valuable experience within education.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Support pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Help pupils build confidence, independence, and engagement
You’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Are patient, adaptable, and empathetic
- Have a passion for supporting pupils with SEN
- Can build positive relationships and communicate effectively
Experience in education, care, youth work, or support settings is highly valued.

- Relevant experience is desirable
- Pay includes 12.07% statutory holiday pay
- Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks required (full support provided)
- FREE Child Protection & Prevent Duty training available

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
