Join a Specialist Setting Where Every Learner Matters

A highly respected specialist school in Frome is recruiting an SEN Teacher to join their welcoming team from September 2026 on a full-time permanent basis.

This inspiring setting supports children and young people aged 7 to 18 with autism, Asperger’s syndrome, ADHD and associated communication differences.

Staff focus heavily on emotional wellbeing, confidence building and helping pupils develop independence through personalised learning experiences.

 

The Role

The successful teacher will deliver engaging lessons within a calm and structured environment where pupils benefit from smaller groups, adapted teaching approaches and consistent support.

Creativity and flexibility are highly valued, allowing staff to tailor learning to suit individual strengths and needs.

You will work collaboratively with support assistants, therapists and families to ensure pupils make progress both academically and socially.

Relationship-building sits at the heart of the provision, and staff are encouraged to create positive and encouraging classroom environments where pupils feel secure and understood.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
