An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate SEN Teacher to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) within a highly specialised educational setting in Yeovil.

This position offers the chance to deliver meaningful learning experiences that celebrate every achievement, no matter how small. We are searching for an educator who recognises the importance of communication, sensory exploration, life skills and personalised learning.

 

About the Position

You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative lessons tailored to individual needs whilst collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maximise pupil outcomes.

• Designing highly personalised learning programmes
• Delivering sensory-based and engagement-focused activities
• Monitoring progress against EHCP targets
• Working alongside therapists and support staff
• Creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting communication development
• Building strong partnerships with families
• Promoting independence and wellbeing

 

The Ideal Applicant

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have SEN experience or a strong interest in specialist education
• Understand differentiated teaching approaches
• Demonstrate patience, empathy and creativity
• Value a pupil-centred approach
• Are committed to achieving positive outcomes
