SEN Teaching Assistant
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support & General Classroom Assistance)
Location: Cambridgeshire – Travel required across multiple schools within the borough
Start Date: Immediate

This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and proactive individual who has previous experience supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
About the Role:
We are seeking reliable and empathetic Teaching Assistant's with a strong background in 1:1 SEN support to work within a range of primary schools in Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently with pupils who require additional support and will play a key role in helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, tailored to their individual learning and emotional needs

Assist the classroom teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and managing classroom behaviour
-
Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and engagement in learning activities
-
Support academic areas including literacy, numeracy, and other key curriculum subjects
-
Track progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
-
Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils

Assist with day-to-day classroom duties and support other pupils where required
Essential Requirements:
-
Previous experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN (essential)
-
A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse educational needs
-
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
-
A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable
-
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
-
Willingness to travel between schools within Cambridgeshire
