I am currently working with an 'outstanding' SEN primary school in Beckenham, who have an opening for a teaching assistant to join their large staff team.
- You will be working in a key stage 2 class of children who have complex needs including autism and are non-verbal
- There will be 7 students in the room, a teacher and two other teaching assistants, who you will work with collaboratively
- You must be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour, and it is highly desirable if you already have restraint training or are interested in taking the Team Teach course
- You will be working full time, 08:30am - 15:30pm each day Monday to Friday
- There is potential to secure a permanent contract with this school if you do well
You must be available immediately and have a DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to complete a new one asap.
Registering with Teaching Personnel will enable you to apply for similar roles if this one is not suited to you. You will also be enrolled onto a Pay As You Earn payscheme, which means we pay your national insurance and pension contribution, and you will have a dedicated SEN consultant as your point of contact at the agency.
