Are you an experienced Science Teacher, with a strong interest and/or some experience working with SEN pupils? Our school near Norwich, Norfolk needs you!

The School and Your Role

As well as encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement, you will be teaching Science at GCSE level to pupils on the Autistic Spectrum.

The school has a strong focus on the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes, which parents and carers are heavily involved in.

Each child has an individual learning plan tailored to their needs and requirements; this is delivered in class sizes of approx. 6-8 pupils by one teacher as well as additional support staff.

All lessons will need to be inclusive and engaging, to ensure all pupils actively take part in lessons.

On-site facilities include: A multi-sensory play barn, large outdoor space with lots of play equipment and very own team of Occupational and Speech and Language Therapists, who work closely with Class Teachers.

Previous trips out have included: Local Museums, Local Farms and Thetford Forest

The Successful Applicant:

  • Must hold a Full UK Driving License and have own transport, due to the location of the school.
  • Must be a qualified teacher with experience of teaching Science toKS3 and KS4.
  • Should either have experience of working with students with SEMH or ASD, supporting communication difficulties and complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
