Job Title: SEN Resource Base Teaching Assistant

Location: West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £92 Per day

Qualifications: Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Level 3 Supporting Education

Skills: Supporting children with autism, supporting in primary schools, supporting children with ADHD, behaviour management, confident, resilient, enthusiastic

Company Overview: Teaching Personnel works with schools in North Birmingham to provide passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support children with special educational needs.

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to children with special educational needs in a resource base setting
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans
  • Support children with autism and ADHD in their learning and development
  • Manage challenging behaviours effectively
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
  • Level 3 Supporting Education qualification

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs
  • Experience working in primary schools

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of supporting children with autism and ADHD
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • Confident and resilient in challenging situations
  • Enthusiastic about working with children

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional courses or training related to special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with Full-Time hours
  • Work within a supportive school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
