Teaching Personnel Job Description:

Working in mainstream primary schools providing specialist support to children with additional needs. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 15:30 during term time only. The position offers competitive rates of pay.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting children with additional needs
  • Comfortable with personal care assistance
  • Assisting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSE in Maths, English, and Science

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with additional needs preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to support children with diverse needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training in special educational needs (SEN)
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced school environment
  • Physical demands including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Regular interaction with children, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
