Are you an experienced primary teacher looking for a new challenge with flexible working hours?

Do you have the ability to differentiate your lessons to meet the individual needs of your students?

If you answered yes, then this Primary SEN Teacher role is for you!

The Role - Primary SEN Teacher/Tutor

I am working alongside a number of client Schools in York, to recruit Primary SEN Teachers for work for the rest of this Academic Year and for the New Academic Year. In the first instance, you must be a fully qualified teacher that holds Qualified Teacher Status as well as having knowledge or experience of special educational needs. You will be teaching on a 1:1 and small group basis with students that have additional needs including SLD, MLD and ASC and so must have either previous experience in a similar role, or an SEN related qualification is preferred. You must have the ability to differentiate your lessons to ensure that each and every child's needs are met, as well as ensuring that lessons are fun and creative so that your students are engaged at all times. In exceptional circumstances, a Teaching Assistant will be present.

The Provisions

These provision covers cater for children with a range of Special Educational Needs and are an alternative education setting to a mainstream School; creating individualised learning plans to meet the needs in-line with EHCPs. The children that are on roll are from age 4 and all have an EHCP that could include PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASC, SEMH and more. They strive to offer first class education to their students and have very high expectations for both staff and students.

To apply for this role, or to enquire about more information, please call the Hull and Lincoln SEN Branch on 01482 908020 and please send your up to date CV and Cover Letter to Kerry Fowler via the 'apply now' link!
