Role

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a Primary Special Educational Needs School in Litherland. We are looking for people that are flexible and can work on a day to day basis as well as people that would like long term work.

The rate of pay for this school is ÂŁ8.41 per hour.

School

Our client school provides education for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties from Years 1 to 6.Everyone in the school strives to create an environment where teamwork, support and friendship form the basis of our relationships. They value children as individuals and encourage their development as active, positive members of the school and their own communities

This school is approx. 10 minute drive from the city centre and is accessible on several means of public transport. There are bus stops within walking distance from the school.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities

*To encourage pupils to join in with all activities and to take a full and active part in school life.

*To support and care for the child in their toileting needs.

*To prepare, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals.

*To encourage the pupil to develop a positive self image, and to develop confidence in their abilities and communication with others.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements

You must have had solid experience working with children and/or young people with behavioural difficulties. It is preferred for this school for teaching assistant to be Team-Teach qualified.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
