Graduate Cover Supervisor – SEN Secondary School (Bury Area)

Location: Bury
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Agency)

We are working with a specialist SEN secondary school in the Bury area seeking enthusiastic graduates to join their team as Cover Supervisors. No teaching qualification required – just confidence, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed. You will be supporting children with moderate SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, struggles with Speech and Language and challenging behaviour.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils stay engaged.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with SEN needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and promote inclusion.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.

  • A degree (any subject) – ideal for Education, Psychology, or Social Sciences graduates.
  • Confidence in leading a classroom and managing behaviour.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
