ASC Experienced Support Assistant- Full time role from September to Christmas

  • GOOD Chorley Primary School
  • Work 32 hours per week across 5 days
  • Work alongside a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis

A school in Chorley have approached Teaching Personnel, Preston in order to source and appoint a Teaching Assistant (L2, L3 or Degree trained) to work closely alongside a child with Autism. In terms of needs, the boy is working in a Year 4 class and currently assessed way below ‘expected age related levels’. He also struggles to communicate and socialise with other children and will need different strategies implanted in order to build self confidence.

The school is located in the heart of Chorley and the majority of children who arrive in school are working below or in line with age expected and the behaviour tends to be GOOD. The Head teacher is driven to raising academic standards and increase pupil confidence and with this, gain OUTSTANDING at the next Ofsted inspection.

The school is commutable by car, train and bus with it being in the centre of Chorley.

The role will be to start at the end of September run for the full term until at least Christmas. This will be a five day a week position covering 32 hours. The rate of pay is competitive with other roles of this sort and so this is a very good opportunity.

Please contact me if you are interested in the above role, or equally so, if you have any friends or family members who would be suitable.

I can be contacted in the office on 01772 842155 or by email steven.lamb@teachingpersonnel.com

As well, we currently have a ‘recommend a teacher incentive’ which means you will be liable to £200 if you pass on our details to any teacher friends.
