Early Years Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Streatham. This is a full-time position supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a particular focus on supporting two children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), alongside delivering targeted small group interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for two children with EHCPs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their individual targets.
• Deliver engaging small group interventions across the Early Years setting to support children's learning and development.
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to implement strategies and support plans.
• Promote a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback on children's development and achievements.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working within an Early Years (EYFS) setting.
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with EHCPs.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Desirable

• A valid and in-date Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
