A SEN school based on the outskirts of Bristol is looking for a Carer and Support worker with a passion for working with children with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This vibrant school has fantastic facilities such as a hydro pool that allow pupils to experience a broad and balanced curriculum whilst fostering independence, confidence and inclusion. Your role as a SEN Carer will be to provide personal care, feeding and general support for children who have severe learning difficulties, you will be working 1:1 and/or in small groups to provide a secure and safe environment for learning.
Successful SEN Carer….
- Must have a passion or interest in working with children with (PMLD) and (SLD)
- Experience with SEN and severe learning difficulties is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable with personal care and feeding
- Possess good behaviour management skills
- Proactive and happy to self direct
- Demonstrate effective communication with both children and staff
- Must display empathy, patience and commitment
