SEMH Teaching Assistants

We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants in Poole (and surrounding areas), who are looking for supply roles on a part time basis, or even looking to fit around their current roles.

You will be working on a day to day basis at schools who provide education for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties where students require emotional and academic support. Your roles in a day could be varied from setting up Art classes and assisting students to working with students in Outdoor Education sessions.

The majority of the time, you will be working within special schools for students aged between 11 and 16 who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or a Statement of Special Educational Need (SSEN). In most cases the primary identified need is Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural difficulties, although the majority of students have additional special educational needs such as autistic spectrum condition, AD(H)D, speech, language and communication difficulties, opposition defiance and attachment disorders.
