SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an SEMH behavioural support assistant to offer 1:1 support to KS2 pupil with SEMH in An OFSTED graded ‘Good’ Primary school located in the Kings Lynn area. The school has over 350 pupils on role, and has multiple areas that cater for 1:1 support sessions to be delivered in a calm and safe environment with the pupil.

The position is five days a week, working full days until the end of this academic year, but has the opportunity of being extended depending on the pupil’s progression during their time in mainstream education.

What we need from you:

• Some prior experience supporting pupil with EHCP’s such as: ASC, MLD, SEMH, HI or VI.
• A ‘can do’ approach to any given situation or challenge
• The ability to offer 1:1 support
• Exceptional communication and behavioural management skills
• The ability to assess and track progress of pupils

Your role will be vital in the learning development of this pupil, and it is through this supporting position that you can help pupils achieve goals and progress through their time in mainstream Primary education.
