- Fantastic SEN opportunity
We are currently looking for a teaching assistant who has previously worked with students with social, emotional, mental health difficulties (SEMH). The position is within a SEN school and would be a challenging but highly rewarding role. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with SEMH is highly desirable, such as an understanding of the complexities related to this condition.
The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of teaching and behaviour strategies relevant to this.
A Team Teach qualification or relevant moving and handling experience would be beneficial but not essential. Teaching Personnel are also able to provide a range of training; including Team Teach, Introduction to Autism and Moving and Handling.
We require candidates to apply who are passionate in assisting children with SEMH to access the curriculum. An understanding and flexible nature is essential, and the school is particularly keen to have candidates who are proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative.
Should you require any additional information regarding SEMH or indeed to apply for the position, please contact your SEN specialist Zoe on 0118 9071532 or email zoe.smith@teachingpersonnel.com
