Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an SEMH school in Wallasey who are searching for a Behaviour Mentor to work with students with social emotional and mental health difficulties on a flexible basis as of September. The role will involve working with vulnerable young people with the support of an extensive professional team of staff. The children in the provision display extremely challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will be confident in approaching this. The client school welcomes applications from a variety of backgrounds including those from youth work or army/military, experience working with social, emotional and mental health as well as challenging behaviour is extremely desirable.
You will be helping pupils to work towards formal qualifications so an enthusiastic and proactive candidate with a desire for working with young people is required. You must be a strong role model, motivated and dedicated to providing outstanding support to students and passionate making a real difference to students who may display some of the following behaviours:
-Social anxiety
-Drug and alcohol addiction
-Language barriers
-Learning difficulties
Teaching Personnel can offer Behaviour Mentor's competitive pay rates of up to GBP65 per day dependent on experience; for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. In this role you will be working an average of three days per week on a flexible basis with the option of working more or less hours.
