SEMH Teaching Assistant

"Behaviour Buddy" Required to work 1:1 - KS2 - Runcorn

• Actively progress pupils with behavioral difficulties to raise attainment
• Working in a mainstream Primary School providing 1:1 support
• Continual Professional Development including Team Teach available.

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge of SEMH to undertake a 2.5 term placement at a Primary School in Runcorn working 1:1 with a pupil with behavioural difficulties - the role will be from September until Summer term 2017 covering maternity.

The role will involve:

- Progressing the pupil through differentiation

- Monitoring and adapting planning to engage pupil

- Ensuring focus is maintained on work in hand from pupil

- Assisting with other pupils at times

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education and Leeds Trinity University with additional local school partners. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Child Protection in Education, Prevent Duty, an accredited Holistic Approach to Behaviour Management, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Read Write Inc. and Safeguarding.
