SEN TEACHER FOR SEPTEMBER IN BOURNEMOUTH

  • Excellent rates of pay
  • Full time
  • September start

A small but fantastically well resources SEN school based in Bournemouth is seeking an SEN teacher with recent SLD experience to join their team from September. Experienced SEN teachers with UK or equivalent qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply today.

The successful applicant will be teaching a mixed KS3 class of 8 pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD.) The majority of the children have additional medical and sensory needs as well as physical impairments. The class are all working at levels equivalent to those aged between 3 and 6 years old. As a result experience of the EYFS curriculum or primary could be advantageous, though not essential.

Much of the focus is on a sensory curriculum with a particular focus on developing social and communication skills. You will be working alongside two really friendly learning support assistants (LSAs) who know the children and the school procedures and will help you get up to speed quickly.

The successful candidate will be flexible, with the ability to use their own initiative where required. Experience working in an SEN school or with SLD children would be an advantage but the school are clear that they want a good teacher first and foremost - excellent training is available.

If you would like to apply for this position, please call Liv Potter on 01202 558848 or email olivia.potter@teachingpersonnel.com
