Teacher required in Behavioural Unit in Preston

Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking a position in a challenging secondary school?

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a Pupil Referral Unit which requires a Teacher for the new academic year. The School is smaller than average and the pupils in this school display very challenging behaviours and can often be both verbally and physically aggressive. The School is based in Fullwood, Lancashire and it would be helpful if the candidate was also able to travel to Lancaster as there is another behavioral unit of a similar ilk in the Lancaster area.

The role will be full time from September and it is likely to continue for at least the first term but it does have the potential to become a permanent position.

The candidate must have experience working with challenging pupils and ideally will be Team Teach trained. The candidate must be comfortable working in an environment where pupils are likely to display aggressive behaviours and the candidate must have experience dealing with SEMH difficulties and Autism.
