Job description

Are you a creative Food Technology Teacher with QTS looking for a rewarding role in specialist education? A highly supportive specialist secondary provision in the Frome area is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis, supporting students aged 11–18. This welcoming school provides a nurturing and structured environment where students are supported to grow academically, socially and emotionally.

 

The Role

  • Planning and delivering practical and differentiated Food Technology lessons

  • Supporting students’ confidence, independence and life skills

  • Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff

  • Monitoring progress and adapting lessons to meet individual needs

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience or interest in SEN education

  • Passion for practical and engaging teaching

  • Patient, adaptable and supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
