Inspire Change as a SEMH Teacher in Salisbury
Start Date: September 2025 (Early Start Options Available)
Contract Type: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)
Age Range: 3 to 19 | Hours: 8:30am – 4pm
Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking an adaptable, resilient, and compassionate SEMH Teacher to join an outstanding group of specialist schools in the Salisbury area.
These settings provide a nurturing, structured, and highly supportive environment for children and young people facing behavioural challenges and additional needs such as autism and anxiety.

What Your Role Will Involve

Delivering creative, differentiated lessons that engage and challenge learners

Building trust-based relationships with students who may display challenging behaviours

Working collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff

Supporting students' emotional regulation and personal development

Creating a safe, consistent, and engaging classroom experience
What You Will Bring

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and experience teaching in SEN or SEMH settings
-
A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and behaviour support

Patience, empathy, and a passion for making learning accessible for all

The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse and complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
