Job description

The PWR team at Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a rapidly expanding SEMH Multi-school Trust located in Greater Manchester, is seeking a dedicated Secondary SEMH Teacher to join their Hyde site. With a reputation for a supportive atmosphere and an ambitious vision, this partner Trust currently operates three SEMH institutions and is poised for further growth. This presents an outstanding opportunity for career progression and development within the Trust as it continues to expand.

Job Description:
We are actively seeking a committed Secondary SEMH Teacher to join our partner Trust at their Hyde site. This permanent position is set to start in September or earlier, depending on the chosen candidate's availability. While experience working with SEMH students is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEMH students, with a preference for Maths or Science specialism.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure the overall well-being and success of students.
  • Regularly assess student progress and offer constructive feedback to aid their development.
  • Play an active role in shaping the SEMH curriculum by incorporating innovative teaching methods and resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience working with SEMH students.
  • A passion for education and a strong commitment to student success.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
