The PWR team at Teaching Personnel is partnering with a thriving SEMH Multi-school Trust located in Hyde, in search of a dedicated Humanities trained teacher to join their team. Renowned for fostering a supportive environment and embracing an ambitious vision, this Trust currently operates three SEMH institutions and is poised for further expansion. Job Description:
We are actively seeking a committed Humanities trained teacher to join our partner Trust at their Northenden site. This permanent position is scheduled to commence in September or earlier, depending on the availability of the successful candidate. While previous experience working with SEMH students is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging humanities lessons tailored to SEMH students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure the holistic well-being and success of students.
  • Conduct regular assessments of student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their growth.
  • Contribute actively to the enhancement of the humanities curriculum by integrating innovative teaching methods and resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a background in humanities education.
  • Preferred experience working with SEMH students.
  • A passion for education and a strong commitment to student success.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
