Qualified Secondary Teacher – Smith’s Wood (Windward Way)

Supply Bank Education is working in partnership with a secondary school located on Windward Way, Smith’s Wood, to recruit a passionate and committed Qualified Secondary Teacher for a full-time, long-term opportunity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is eager to make a meaningful impact in secondary education while supporting students in achieving their full academic and personal potential.

The Role

As a Qualified Secondary Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the secondary curriculum while creating a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment. You will work closely with colleagues to support pupil progress, behaviour management, and overall student development.

This role is ideal for educators who are adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences.

Job Details

  • Location: Windward Way, Smith’s Wood
  • Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
  • Salary: Dependent on experience
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Eligibility: UK applicants only – no sponsorship available

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the secondary curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with school expectations
  • Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
  • Support students’ academic progress and personal development
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

What We’re Looking For

  • UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
  • Ability to deliver engaging lessons across a range of abilities
  • A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK (e.g. British Passport or valid share code)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
