🎓Secondary Cover Teacher-Flexible Opportunity
Job description
Are you a qualified teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role without the full demands of long-term planning? We are working in partnership with a school in Slough, a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school, to appoint a reliable and adaptable Cover Teacher to support across a range of subjects.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy variety in their work or are looking to gain more experience in different subject areas before committing to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects and year groups (KS3 & KS4)
- Ensure a calm and focused classroom environment
- Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Provide feedback to departments and follow set lesson objectives
- Maintain a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
- Confident teaching across a range of secondary subjects (subject specialism a bonus)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Flexible, professional, and proactive
- Current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
