Science Tutor – Looked After Children (LAC)

TP Tutors is recruiting a Science Tutor to provide high-quality, 1:1 tuition for Looked After Children (LAC). These pupils may have experienced disrupted education and need patient, consistent support to help them reach their potential.

Tuition is delivered in home or care home settings, with a strong focus on building trust and reintroducing structure to learning.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver personalised KS3/KS4 science lessons in a 1:1 setting

• Adapt content and teaching style to meet each learner’s needs

• Work closely with carers, social workers, and tuition consultants

• Maintain accurate and insightful session records on our secure platform

• Travel to students in their home or care placement and manage your own timetable

What you’ll need:

• Solid experience supporting vulnerable learners in the UK

• QTS preferred, or a science-related degree with tutoring/teaching experience

• A current DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
