TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic Science Tutors to deliver one-on-one tuition in homes, community spaces, or schools around Gateshead. Position: Science Tutor
Location: Gateshead and surrounding areas
Pay: £25 - £35 per hour
What You’ll Do:

Create engaging, personalised Science lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style.

Track progress and provide meaningful feedback through our user-friendly online reporting system, supporting ongoing student growth.

Build strong, encouraging relationships that inspire a growth mindset and confidence in scientific learning.

Support exam preparation, homework help, and enhance students’ understanding of scientific principles.

Adapt teaching strategies to suit varying abilities and learning preferences.
Who You Are:
-
Knowledgeable in the Combined Science National Curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.

Experienced in tutoring outside of traditional school settings—experience with students with additional needs is a bonus.

A great communicator who connects easily with students and motivates them to succeed.

Preferably a Qualified Teacher or with equivalent tutoring expertise.

Self-motivated with strong time-management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
