Inspire Young Minds as a Science Tutor with TP Tutors – Gateshead & Surrounding Areas

Are you passionate about science and excited to help students excel beyond the classroom? TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic Science Tutors to deliver one-on-one tuition in homes, community spaces, or schools around Gateshead. Join us to empower students to build skills, boost confidence, and achieve their academic ambitions in science.

Position: Science Tutor
Location: Gateshead and surrounding areas
Pay: £25 - £35 per hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Create engaging, personalised Science lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style.

  • Track progress and provide meaningful feedback through our user-friendly online reporting system, supporting ongoing student growth.

  • Build strong, encouraging relationships that inspire a growth mindset and confidence in scientific learning.

  • Support exam preparation, homework help, and enhance students’ understanding of scientific principles.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit varying abilities and learning preferences.

Who You Are:

  • Knowledgeable in the Combined Science National Curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Experienced in tutoring outside of traditional school settings—experience with students with additional needs is a bonus.

  • A great communicator who connects easily with students and motivates them to succeed.

  • Preferably a Qualified Teacher or with equivalent tutoring expertise.

  • Self-motivated with strong time-management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
