Experienced Science Technician – Long-Term / Potentially Permanent – Starting September
Are you a skilled Science Technician looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school on the East side of Birmingham? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded school seeking an experienced Science Technician to join their team from September.
The Role:
-
Provide expert technical support to the Science department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely
-
Prepare, maintain, and manage scientific equipment and materials
-
Support teaching staff with demonstrations, experiments, and health and safety compliance
-
Assist with the organisation of Science resources and laboratories
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Science Technician within a school setting
-
Holds a Science-related degree (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent)
-
Strong understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures
-
Excellent organisational skills with an ability to work proactively and independently
-
Passionate about supporting student learning and the smooth operation of the Science department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
