Science Teacher- B37-Secondary School- April start

If you are a qualified Science Teacher seeking a new role to start after the Easter holidays and work up untill the summer, then this could be the role for you!

 

A mainstream secondary school based in the B37 area of Birmingham are seeking to appoint a qualified and dedicated teacher of science to join their supportive and dynamic science department on a full-time basis.

 

Ideal Person Specification

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

- Recent experience teaching science within UK secondary schools

- Excellent subject knowledge

- Confident teaching all 3 science specialisms

- Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence

 

Job Role/Responsibilities

- Plan a range of science lessons that engage and motivate pupils, differentiating lessons to suit individual needs within the class

- Regularly assess pupil's progress and provide constructive feedback to support with their learning and development

- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and confidently 

- Be proactive and engage well with your colleagues within the science department and wider school community

- Support pupil's with special educational needs and additional learning needs , utilise the classroom support i.e. TAs to the best of your ability

- Be professional and a true advocate of Teaching Personnel at all times!

 

Location: B37, Birmingham

Hours: Full Time

Rate of pay: To scale ( you will be paid weekly!!!)

Dates: April- July 2026

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
