Science Teacher (Full-Time)

Location: B37, Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Competitive, based on experience (reflective of teacher scale)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm opportunity for the right person

Key Stage: KS3 – KS4 (A-Level Science is benefical but not a necessity)

A thriving secondary school in the B37 area of Birmingham is seeking a full-time Science Teacher to join their supportive and dynamic department immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students’ learning in a well-resourced and forward-thinking school.

 

 

The Role:

Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Plan and assess students' progress in line with the national curriculum

Provide insightful feedback to the students and actively provide positive reinforcement

Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive department

Support the school’s ethos of high expectations and continuous improvement

Participate in departmental and whole school CPD opportunities

 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level

Strong classroom management skills and a proactive teaching style

Excellent subject knowledge and awareness of the national curriculum for Science

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

Enhanced, Child Only DBS, on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
